Brainlab AG moved into its company headquarters on the site of the former Munich-Riem Airport in July 2016. The heart of the office complex is the listed ten-storey airport tower, which was built in 1939. Munich-Riem Airport was the international airport of the Bavarian capital of Munich until its closure on May 16, 1992.

Brainlab digitizes medical processes from diagnosis to therapy in order to offer doctors and patients better treatment options. Brainlab’s innovative ecosystem forms the basis for modern medicine in 6300 hospitals in 120 countries. Founded in Munich more than 30 years ago, the company employs 2200 people at 25 locations.

Art and culture play an important role for Brainlab AG. The company actively promotes cultural projects and gives them space at its headquarters. For Brainlab CEO Stefan Vilsmeier, it is a special responsibility to commemorate the attack and those affected on 10 February 1970 at this historic location.
